Dare Media Productions founder Darren O'Mahony hails from Tipperary. He studied Media Production in Stillorgan, Dublin before moving to Cork City and studying Film and video Production in St. John's Central College Cork. Darren founded Dare Media Productions in with the goal of creating exciting and dramatic film and video content.
 
Darren also founded and served as Festival Director at the UnderGround Film Festival in Cork City from 2011 to 2016, screening short and feature films from over forty countries. In 2015 Darren was part of the International Jury at Cantabria film festival "Pielagos En Corto"

This year Darren is again returning to Spain as part of the judging panel at Pielagos En Corto  as well as judging at the Irish Professional Photography & Videography Awards.
